Team assistant

Can I work from abroad for two weeks?

Looking through your knowledge

Yes, for up to 20 working days a year, once your manager agrees. The staff handbook covers it under Remote work.

Message Team assistant…

In short

An internal AI assistant, also called an internal knowledge assistant or an AI knowledge base chatbot, is a chat your staff use at work to get answers from company documents. With ClearMakes Agents you build one per team from your files and web pages, and on Pro and Business from Google Drive folders. Free to start.

Your knowledge base, as answers

Nobody reads a hundred pages to find one answer. Each agent knows its part of the business.

Answers, not a list of links

People ask in their own words and get the answer itself.

One agent per team

HR, sales, support and IT each get an assistant with their own documents.

Google Drive folders

On Pro and Business, connect Drive and choose which folders each agent may read.

Tasks in your apps

Look up a deal in HubSpot, draft an email in Gmail or file a Jira ticket, on Pro and Business.

Find the gaps

Read what people ask and spot the questions your documents don't answer yet.

You decide who sees what

An agent reads only what you connect to it. Workspace roles decide who can change it.

What is an internal knowledge assistant?

It is another name for an internal AI assistant: a chat that answers your staff's questions from your own documents, not the open web. People ask in their own words and get the answer itself, not a list of files to open.

  • Good for the questions that land on one person again and again: leave rules, expenses, prices, how-to steps, product details.
  • Each team can have its own assistant with its own documents, so HR answers stay with HR.

Is an AI knowledge base chatbot the same thing?

Yes, in practice. A knowledge base chatbot answers from documents you choose: used by your staff it is an internal assistant, and used by customers on your website it is a support chatbot.

  • With ClearMakes Agents the same agent can do both: share it with your team, and add it to your website with one snippet.
  • Customer-facing set-up is on the AI chatbot for website page.

What can it read?

Files, web pages and, on Pro and Business, Google Drive folders. Upload PDFs, Word and Excel files or CSVs, add the web pages it should read, or choose which Drive folders each agent may read.

  • Documents per agent: 5 on Free (10 MB), 25 on Starter (25 MB), 100 on Pro (100 MB) and 300 on Business (250 MB).
  • When a policy changes, upload the new version and remove the old one, so answers stay current.

How is it better than searching a shared drive?

A search shows you files; you still have to open them and read. The assistant reads them for you and replies in a sentence or two.

  • People don't need to know the file's name or the exact words in it.
  • Every chat is saved, so you can see which questions your documents don't answer yet.

How do you keep its answers right?

It answers from what you give it, so keep those documents up to date and tell it what to do when it can't find an answer. Try it privately before your team uses it.

  • Write the rules in plain words in its instructions, such as "If the handbook doesn't say, ask them to email HR."
  • Read past chats now and then, and add a document where answers were missing.

What does an internal AI assistant cost?

The Free plan includes one agent and 30 conversations a month. Starter is $12 a month, Pro $39 with three team members, apps and Google Drive, and Business $99 with ten team members.

  • Priced per workspace, not per seat. Pay yearly and get two months free.

Honest limits

What it doesn't do

  • It isn't a search engine over every app you own. It answers from the documents, websites and Drive folders you give each agent.
  • There is no Slack bot: people ask in the ClearMakes chat, a share link or your own website. An agent can post messages to Slack for you.
  • Free and Starter have one team member; Pro has three and Business ten.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an internal AI assistant?

An AI assistant your employees use at work. It answers questions from your own documents and can do tasks in your business apps, such as drafting emails or filing tickets.

What is the difference between an internal AI assistant and a knowledge base chatbot?

Mostly who asks. Both answer from documents you choose. An internal assistant is for your staff; a knowledge base chatbot is often put on a website for customers. One ClearMakes agent can do both.

Is our company data used for anyone else?

No. Each workspace's knowledge is kept apart, and an agent only reads what you have connected to it.

Which apps can it work in?

Hundreds, through Composio: Gmail, Slack, Google Drive, Notion, HubSpot, Salesforce, Jira, GitHub and more, on Pro and Business. You can also connect your own MCP server or API.

How many people can use it?

Free and Starter include one team member, Pro three and Business ten. For more, talk to us about Enterprise. A share link lets people ask without an account.
